Scope: Main power path of the generating set from alternator windings via terminal block and phase CTs to the 'TO BREAKER' terminals.. This is a control wiring diagram; the only power-carrying path shown is the alternator output to the breaker.
Boundary: Source = alternator; sink = 'TO BREAKER' terminals.. These are the end points of the power conductors drawn on the sheet.
Can fail: source, ct, other. The alternator, its terminal/configuration block and the three phase CTs are the only equipment physically in the main power conductors on this sheet; conductors and the sink terminal are treated as perfect connectors.
Success: any_path. Power delivered from the alternator to the breaker terminals on all three phases; phase CTs are chained in series so that loss (open secondary/primary fault) of any phase CT counts as failure of the 3-phase supply.
Not modelled:
- PowerWizard controller, relays, fuses F1-F7, battery/charger, AVR, sensors and control wiring: Control/monitoring circuits, not in the main power path; their failure modes (e.g. failing to start) need a different model.
- Optional 4-pole breaker, RCD and socket outlet variants (top right): Optional variants 'if required', downstream of the breaker boundary.
- Neutral N1 conductor: Has no equipment in it on this sheet.
