Scope: Close-operation motor power circuit of the i-Tork IQL 1PH actuator (RPC+LP4): LINE → LP4 REM/LOC selector → RPC or LP4 close contact → CLS → CFS → terminal 6/2 → motor M → MTP → terminals 4/5 → NEUTRAL.. The drawing is a wiring diagram with no feeder topology. The function that matters for reliability is the actuator's ability to drive closed. The open circuit mirrors it (OFS/OLS) and would give a symmetric model.
Boundary: Source = incoming LINE conductor; sink = NEUTRAL return.. Motor current flows in a loop, so the series elements in the return leg (motor, MTP) only fall on a source-to-sink path if the boundary closes at neutral.
Can fail: disconnector, breaker, other. In this control circuit, the things that can open the motor current path are the switching contacts (limit/force switches, RPC and LP4 contacts, the selector), the motor thermal protector and the motor itself. The supply terminals (LINE/NEUTRAL) are boundary points, and the terminal-block links are treated as perfect connectors.
Success: any_path. The close operation succeeds if current can flow from LINE through the close winding of motor M and back to NEUTRAL through at least one closed command path, remote or local.
Not modelled:
- Motor run capacitor: It is connected across the windings, not in the series path. Its failure would stop the motor starting, but it can't be represented as a series edge.
- Open direction (OFS, OLS, RPC/LP4 open contacts), ACLS/AOLS, lamps, heater/TP, position feedback, potentiometer, fault/local/remote signals: They are outside the chosen close-operation scope or are indication/auxiliary circuits that don't carry motor current.
- RPC/LP4 electronics power supply and internal logic: The boards' internal circuits aren't shown. Each board's contact stands in for it.
- Terminal blocks 2,4,5,6,12,13,14 and external customer close command on terminal 12: Terminals are perfect connectors. The customer command through terminal 12 is an external input that isn't on the drawing.
